We created the database to track the employee trip expenses for Christian Dior, a
leader in the fashion, and perfume & cosmetics industry. The database will allow for instant access for employees to be able to visualize their
current annual, semi annual, quarterly and monthly expenses, and will also
allow employees to see how they are doing compared to their respective
budgets. This database
provides organize, up-to-date data that would provide Dior with tons of new
opportunity such as pin pointing possible area of overspending, timely info for
periodic budgeting, and proper allocation of labor expenses on physical
recording of traveling expenses.
Our database system consists of three major entities, including Employees, Trips and Expenses. We also insert an intersection table between Employees and Trips entities, called, Employee Trips. We record and track each expense according to both the Trip ID and Employee ID. The expenses contains Employee Trip ID which makes up of Trip ID and Employee ID.
